Srdjan Vesic

I am Srdjan Vesic (Serbian: Срђан Весић) and I am a post-doctoral researcher in the Individual and Collective Reasoning research group at the University of Luxembourg, in Luxembourg City (Luxembourg). I work under the supervision of Leon van der Torre. My postdoctoral research is carried out thanks to the ERCIM Fellowship Programme, which is supported by the Marie Curie Co-funding (COFUND).

In July 2011, I obtained a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from Paul Sabatier University, Toulouse (France), in ADRIA team at IRIT, under the supervision of Leila Amgoud and Philippe Besnard. My PhD thesis was about integrating preferences in argumentation, and using argumentation-based frameworks for reasoning, decision-making and negotiation. I also studied different roles played by preferences in argumentation, and the links between argumentative and non-argumentative approaches for inconsistency handling.

In June 2008, I obtained a Master in Artificial Intelligence from the same institute and university (ranked 1st).

Before coming to France, I graduated from University of Belgrade, Faculty of Mathematics, Department of Computer Science, in Belgrade (Serbia).
