Transport
Please note that all public transport within the country of Luxembourg is fare-free for everyone. This includes: the airport bus, the city tram, and the train to Belval. (Taxis can be very expensive and are not recommended.)
The best way to move from the airport to the city center and from the city center to the venues of the conference is by using the free public transport of Luxembourg. The official website is www.mobiliteit.lu/en/
From the airport to Luxembourg city
You can take either the bus 6 (with final destination Bertrange, Gemeng) or the bus 16 (with final destination Bertrange, Belle Etoile). Both buses go in the direction of the city center. The stop to get off at is "Hamilius" (total ride is around 20 minutes).
From Luxembourg city to the Belval campus
There are 2 good alternatives:
- Take the tram T1 from "Hamilius" in the direction of Stadion and get off at the central station "Gare Centrale". From here take a train that stops at "Belval-Université".
OR
- Take the direct bus 605 from "Monterey" in the direction of Villerupt. Get off at "Porte des Sciences".
